ICM Consulting – National Stroke Victims Register

The Stroke Foundation wanted a single solution that captures all the salient information about stroke victims from across Australia in near real time, despite state and territory jurisdictions. The information is accessed by medical research and scientific teams to evaluate and find ways to reduce the number of stroke victims.

ISS Facility Services – ISS patient feedback tablet

ISS Facility Services, together with its client Northern Health, introduced a real-time patient feedback tablet, which has provided insights that assist it in continually improving service, responding faster and positively interacting with patients. The results of this innovation have improved ward cleanliness and patient food quality across Northern Health sites in Victoria. The tablet survey is brought to the patient’s bedside to gauge their immediate impression of the services, including cleaning and catering services. It’s easy to use, with patients selecting from appropriate smiling or frowning faces to indicate their level of satisfaction with the services, and allows them to write comments.

Estates Engineering – Executing a high voltage maintenance program in a complex environment

Estates Engineering undertook a complex program at Fiona Stanley Hospital using best practice OH&S safe working practices for the maintenance of a modern high voltage infrastructure. The hospital has an automated power management control system for emergencies, and simulations had to be conducted to understand system behaviour, in order that all work could be undertaken without clinical interruption, and risk mitigation was understood.
