St Luke’s Care at Potts Point has implemented software across its four divisions – St Luke’s Hospital, Aged Care, Home Care and Apartments – to more efficiently manage clinical governance, HR, credentials and staff training. The technology has created an environment connecting all of St Luke’s business units and facilities.
The software system has allowed St Luke’s staff to manage data efficiently and identify risks or areas of concern, allowing staff to react more quickly and manage them. According to Mark Compton, CEO of St Luke’s Care, the i.on my care project has resulted in a system that is easy for clinical staff to use and that can be adapted to the constantly changing regulatory environment.
St Luke’s Care won the IT in Aged Care (ITAC) Best Project Implementation Award at the Annual Informational Technology in Aged Care Conference for this information technology system. The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) also has awarded St Luke’s Hospital an outstanding achievement rating for quality, risk and incident management.
