The misting system works by forcing mains water via a high pressure pump module and tubing through a specially designed mist nozzle which ultimately produces a micro fine mist. The millions of water droplets created are so small that they instantly flash evaporate and absorb the heat in the air. Flash evaporation can reduce the surrounding air temperature by as much as 14 degrees Celsius in seconds.
The amount of cooling that can be achieved will depend on a number of factors. The hotter the ambient temperature and the lower the relative humidity, the quicker the evaporation will take place, giving a greater temperature reduction.
