With a market presence of more than three decades, it’s reasonable to infer that FM Media has become a cross-generational reference-grade handbook to the facility management community in Australia.
FM Media has witnessed the evolution of the industry and its many twists and turns, wins and setbacks.
Much of the industry’s trajectory has been reflected across FM Media‘s previous editions marking World FM Day, which included ‘Resilience in Action’ last year, or ‘On the Frontline’ back in 2020 when COVID-19 lockdowns threw daily routines out of gear, and even ‘Enabling Business Transformation’ back in 2017 when the sector was supporting a phase of rapid business expansion nationally.
This year, World FM Day will be observed on 13 May 2026 under the theme of ‘Cultivating Belonging Through Built Environments’.
The facility management executives that we speak to have, in different ways, expressed a universal thought: the performance of the built environment sector is greatly influenced by how the people engaged within it define and shape conversations around culture and community.
Doing so directly influences productivity and is a key enabler of operational success – whether that’s within the HVAC or access security fields.
The upcoming quarterly edition of FM Media’s print edition, which will be out in the first week of May, will have plenty to read about including a look at changing regulations in the commercial cleaning industry and how the burgeoning build-to-rent sector is fostering community, to features on the evolving rules around fire safety chemicals and the state of the HVAC industry.
Our other regular sections include Meet Your Local FM, View from the Top and Event Spotlight, among others.
The magazine will be available in both a print and digital format and reach a combined readership of 50,000.
The digital copy of the magazine will be shared with our database of 3750 subscribers via email newsletters.
Post our May edition, we’ve got two more quarterly editions to go for the year with the following themes – Sustainability in FM (September) and Reflections and Projections (December). If you haven’t yet read our first edition for 2026, themed around ‘Women in FM’, you can do so here.
