A Federal Government report into how Australian companies can succeed in manufacturing has lauded the example set by specialist tapware and safety technology producer Enware Australia.

The ‘Design for Manufacturing Competitiveness’ report was launched by the Federal Minister for Industry Ian MacFarlane, who said that high performing, globally competitive Australian manufacturing firms that apply design principles to all aspects of their work have common attributes: “They listen to their customers, suppliers and researchers, and then turn their ideas into products and services their customers want.”

He cited the example of Enware Australia, the producer of specialist tapware, water management systems and water technology products. Enmore has just announced its largest export delivery to date, delivering more than 700 of its Australian designed and manufactured emergency safety showers, along with associated safety equipment to the Ma’aden aluminium complex in Saudi Arabia.

While best known for its bathroom and kitchen product lines, Enware also manufactures a large range of emergency safety shower and eyewash equipment, and distributes some products of internationally acknowledged leaders in areas such as spill containment storage, decontamination and hazchem equipment.
