Technology and consumer expectations have advanced to the point where static posters and billboards are quickly being replaced by digital interactive displays. One company has just released a range of 10-inch digital ePosters that offer state-of-the-art features.

The new miniboards from ViewSonic Corporation have been designed for point-of-sale advertising on retail shelves, as well as for information delivery in commercial businesses, schools and campuses, including as meeting room signs for corporate and hotel lobbies.

“This 10-inch ePoster provides an installation-ready visual display that is perfect for high-visibility, high-traffic locations,” says Max Hsu, PM director for ViewSonic Asia Pacific.

The miniboards feature a widescreen LCD display, wireless and LAN connectivity, and support Power over Ethernet for convenient content loading and device management, a media player, 4GB internal storage, integrated speakers that enable the playback of video clips, photos and music from a USB hard drive or SD/SDHC memory card, and VESA-compliance for added wall mount flexibility.

The standard model offers 800 x 480 native resolutions, motion detection with six-button programmability, and Signage Manager Express content management software. A premium model adds integrated multi-touch technology and 1280 x 800 resolutions. This multi-touch compatibility, with HTML5 and SMIL formats, delivers a two-way interactive platform for dynamic, customised content.
