Four-star Green Star laundry facilities are being developed at the Logis Eco Industrial Park in Dandenong South.

Vaughan Constructions has been appointed to develop the Cabrini Linen Service’s new four-star Green Star laundry facilities at the Logis Eco Industrial Park in Dandenong South. The facility will be used for the laundering of linen from all of Cabrini Linen Service’s Victorian hospitals, as well as servicing hotels and the hospitality industry throughout the state.
Sustainable design measures to be implemented include designing an energy conserving building using low-energy construction materials, waste minimisation and recycling, indoor environmental management initiatives and sustainable energy and water recycling, which will all be coordinated under an environmental management plan.
The sustainable water usage measures will save up to 150 million litres of Melbourne’s drinking water each year. The facility will also include a cogeneration plant, which will significantly reduce the total gas input energy to the boilers required for steam ironing in the laundry, as well as supplying much of the electricity required to power the laundry equipment.
