Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) has won the coveted CHOICE Best Brand of Air Conditioners for 2023 for the sixth year running.

The prestigious consumer choice award is the company’s latest accolade following its recent five-year consecutive streak with the Canstar Blue 2023 Most Satisfied Customer Award.

“This award is especially significant because we are the only air conditioner brand to have achieved this accolade over a consecutive period – making us the most independently awarded brand of air conditioners in the country,” comments MHIAA managing director Yuji Ito.

What is CHOICE?

Independent and member-funded, CHOICE is Australia’s leading consumer advocacy group. To be considered for the Best Brand award, an air conditioner brand must have had at least a minimum of five different models tested by CHOICE and above average test, reliability and satisfaction scores.

For the 2023 awards, CHOICE reviewed over 200 different models of air conditioners and rated brands across four categories, including Average Test Score, Brand Reliability, Customer Satisfaction and Recommended Ratio.

Mitsubishi ticks the boxes

This year, with 38 MHIAA models tested, the brand once again came out on top – scoring a cool 74 percent overall brand score. Brands were each scored against three key criteria, namely: cooling capacity and efficiency (40 percent), heating capacity and efficiency (40 percent) and airflow (20 percent).

Along with this, MHIAA was also rated highly in both customer reliability and satisfaction, achieving a 90 percent and 91 percent respective rating for each category.

MHIAA says the voice of its customers remains firmly at the forefront of its technological advancements and customer service.

“These results echo a positive sentiment amongst our satisfied customers,” says Ito.

“Results like these drive us to achieve even more in the years to come, and to ensure our customers remain satisfied through our product technology and service.”
