In September last year, FM Media reported that Mitsubishi had signed a $1.5 billion deal to acquire industrial cybersecurity company Nozomi Networks.
That deal is now complete. Nozomi, a key operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber‑physical system security provider for commercial facilities, will continue to operate independently.
Nozomi has said that it will pursue an open, multi‑vendor and vendor-neutral approach as part of its independent services to maintain critical infrastructure worldwide.
The company recently crossed the $100 million in annual revenue benchmark and now reportedly serves some of the world’s largest enterprises, including five of the top 10 oil and gas companies, seven of the top 10 pharmaceutical manufacturers, seven of the top 10 utilities and four of the top 10 mining operations.
Major achievements of the company last year include significant new and expanded partnerships with global technology leaders including Schneider Electric, Hitachi Cyber, Nvidia, Dispel and Xona.
While the company grew its employee headcount by 24 percent last year, it’s also among the fastest growing companies in North America, according to the 2025 Deloitte Technology Fast 500.

It positions us to better serve our customers globally and meet the needs of an early majority market and the challenges of a rapidly evolving OT/IoT cybersecurity landscape,” Nozomi Networks co-founder and chief product officer Andrea Carcano says.

The acquisition is expected to give Mitsubishi an AI-powered, cloud-first cybersecurity software business that can accelerate digital transformation for critical infrastructure and industrial organisations globally.
