Cortec has developed a new industrial strength release agent, MCI Creteskin, using its patent Migratory Corrosion Inhibitors (MCI) technology. MCI Creteskin is designed to provide powerful protection to equipment, vehicles and forms in the construction industry.

MCI technology protects reinforcing metal in concrete from corrosion, rehabilitates existing concrete structures and extends the life span of new structures.

The new protective coating inhibits adhesion of concrete and other cementitious materials, salts and abrasives to painted and unpainted metal surfaces such as carbon steel and aluminum. It also provides corrosion protection to the underlying substrate, enabling continued use and a longer lifespan.

Once cured, MCI Creteskin provides a durable and resistant surface that will withstand high pressure and hot water. The coating allows reduced water consumption and easy cleaning with high-pressure water as an alternative to using abrasive blasting or harmful acids. It is chemically resistant to caustic soda and HCl and can also be used as an anti-graffiti coating.
