CBRE Group, Inc has announced its acquisition of ICE, a provider of commercial property facilities and technical maintenance services based in Sydney.

With the acquisition, CBRE hopes to enhance its specialisation in engineering and technical services within its Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business in the Pacific region.

Founded in 1997, ICE provides on-site and mobile technical mechanical and electrical maintenance and project services across the east coast of Australia. Its expertise includes HVAC, cooling and heating system installations, upgrades, refurbishments, replacements, lighting and electrical installation and maintenance, as well as energy efficiency and sustainability services.

“This acquisition further enables CBRE to respond to market demand for integrated facilities management services,” says Emma Forster Mitrovski (pictured, right), CBRE GWS Pacific senior managing director.

ICE’s managing directors Graham Fennell (left) and Robert Lane (centre) will join the GWS Pacific senior leadership team.

“The strength of the CBRE brand will enhance our ability to deliver single source solutions for building management needs, enhance career growth opportunities for our staff and give our clients access to CBRE’s broad service offering and world-class expertise,” Fennell says.
