A new portable, modifiable access control solution for large facilities has been introduced.

Centaman Entrance Control has introduced its new Portable Access Control System (PACS). PACS consists of custom-built containers supplied with a choice of full-height or half-height turnstiles already installed and tested, so they can be delivered straight to site.
The product was launched by the company due to a growing requirement from building sites, mines, power stations and other large facilities to increase their security. Having turnstiles delivered to site already installed and tested in a container that just needs to be dropped in to place saves time on site and costs associated with specialist installation and civil works. Additionally, the PACS system is designed to be portable, so it can be easily moved to another area or site when required.
The PACS system uses containers tailored for each project’s needs and can be supplied in units consisting of one to eight turnstiles in containers ranging from 2 metres to 10 metres. The PACS containers can be customised with guard houses and boom gate platforms for extra security, crane hooks and forklift pockets for easy moving from location to location, and extras such as air-conditioning for comfort.
