Samsung Electronics has showcased its SmartThings Pro software at the recently concluded AHR 2026 expo in Las Vegas.
The AI-powered IoT platform now equips heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) professionals with a centralised solution to remotely manage, monitor and optimise HVAC systems across residential and commercial environments.
It provides operators with multi-site visibility and enables them to respond to issues faster through automated operational workflows, thereby reducing on-site visits and optimising energy use at scale across the full system lifecycle.
SmartThings Pro features real-time alerts for system faults or performance anomalies, and access to HVAC cycle data and remote troubleshooting functions such as Field Setting Value (FSV) adjustments and Smart Reset.
Advanced ticketing functionality will enable HVAC managers to manage maintenance tasks displayed as tickets in the dashboard, enhancing team visibility into service status and streamlining workflows.
The platform offers energy optimisation capabilities. Routine-based controls and logic-driven automation within SmartThings Pro can be used to standardise operational workflows, reduce manual intervention and support energy-saving strategies.
Using SmartThings Pro’s centralised dashboards, management teams can monitor system performance, track energy usage trends and evaluate the impact of an automation over time.
The software has been designed to support multifamily housing, retail, hospitality, food and beverage and office environments.
“HVAC teams are being asked to support more systems, more sites, and higher performance expectations with fewer resources,” Samsung Electronics B2B Integrated Offering Center executive vice president Chanwoo Park says.
“SmartThings Pro brings HVAC data, workflows and automation into a single enterprise platform, giving teams the ability to identify issues faster, resolve them remotely and operate more efficiently across every location they manage.”
