The asset management contract covers more than 30 government agencies across the state.

The five-year-and-seven-month contract will earn Ventia roughly $300 million per year and has the potential for three two-year extensions.

Almost 3500 government locations fall under the 30 state government agencies covered.

Transition activities begin this month for facilities such as schools, hospitals and police stations to come under Ventia’s care, with work scheduled to begin this December.

Ventia CEO Dean Banks says, “South Australians rely on the essential services delivered at more than 3500 government locations across the state, and Ventia is pleased to support the Government of South Australia with the delivery of facility management services to the community, seven days a week, 365 days a year.”

Ventia group executive of defence and social infrastructure Derek Osborn says: “Ventia is looking forward to partnering with local small to medium businesses to help us deliver these services, keeping investment and employment in South Australia.”

The dedicated service company is also excited to provide apprenticeships and employment opportunities as part of the work.
