Woodside awards global FM contract to Cushman & Wakefield

Leading Australian oil and gas company Woodside Energy has appointed Cushman & Wakefield to provide integrated facilities management and workplace services at its new global headquarters known as Mia Yellagonga, in Perth, Western Australia.

Mia Yellagonga is a brand new campus-style complex located in the Perth CBD at 17 Mount Street, combining a world-class built environment with cutting edge technology to deliver a state-of-the-art workplace. Built by Multiplex, Mia Yellagonga recently reached practical completion, with Woodside incrementally transitioning staff from its location at Woodside Plaza on St Georges Terrace to Mia Yellagonga throughout the second half of 2018.

The Mia Yellagonga complex comprises a range of first-class facilities including the 54,810 square metre NLA Karlak office tower and Kooya, a separate four-storey office at the south west corner with 500 square metre floor plates. Other key features include the Cara Auditorium with a capacity of 400, end of trip facilities with over 650 bike spaces, gymnasium, pool, outdoor recreation spaces, commercial kitchen, catering and cafeteria, as well as spaces for the families of Woodside employees to visit.

Woodside appointed Cushman & Wakefield following a two-stage competitive tender process that ran over the first half of 2018. Cushman & Wakefield’s successful bid was led by Benjamin Tracey, director Client Solutions, with Dylan O’Donnell responsible for the ongoing service to Woodside.

In a significant hire for the firm, Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Bret Madden to the role of account director effective as of 11 July 2018, to lead Cushman & Wakefield’s on-site team. Madden was previously head of Occupier Services Western Australia at Knight Frank. As one of Perth’s leading corporate real estate professionals, Madden brings a wealth of experience to Cushman & Wakefield’s service to Woodside.
