Access control specialist Codelocks has launched its Magnetic Latch, a product that is part of its Gate Solutions by Codelocks range.
The made-in-Australia Magnetic Latch is compatible with the company’s CL200 and CL400 Marine Grade mechanical locks as part of a ready-to-install metal gate access control bundle for property managers.
The latch has been designed to withstand harsh weather conditions. Coastal areas are subject to salt spray and high humidity, which can compromise standard hardware.
The Magnetic Latch features Codelocks’ Marine Grade coating, which the company says is a specially enhanced finish that provides resistance to moisture, corrosion and harsh weather, while maintaining its appearance and functionality over time.
The Marine Grade coating has undergone rigorous salt spray testing in-house for up to 1000 hours, to assess performance under harsh conditions.

The magnetic latch is constructed from tough glass-filled nylon with stainless steel components and features a corrosion-resistant coated latch bolt.
It accommodates both left- and right-handed installations and can be mounted to either the gate or post, making it suitable for a wide range of domestic and light commercial applications. The face-fixed design ensures straightforward installation.
Designed to secure perimeters and outdoor areas, the Codelocks’ Gate Solutions offer access control solutions best suited for residential and light commercial environments.
Established in 1991 in Berkshire, UK, Codelocks has over the course of more than three decades offered access control products and services tailored to the requirements of locksmiths, installers, specifiers, architects and facility managers.
In November, the company launched its electronic lock, the KitLockNano. That lock can be used in commercial facilities to control access to lockers, cabinets and drawers, and is particularly useful in co-working spaces and hospitality settings.
