Chill out this May with Future:Air
A transformation of large air-conditioners and chillers is emerging as a result of environmental requirements and technological capacity.
Internationally recognised thought leaders and authorities from the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry will headline the Future:Air seminar roadshow in Australia this May. The event is designed to help businesses that own, manage or repair chillers and large air-conditioning equipment to prepare for these changes.
Future:Air is a partnership between the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing Association (AREMA) and the Air-Conditioning Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA). They will present weekday breakfast seminars in Brisbane, Sydney, Parramatta (NSW), Melbourne and Box Hill (Vic) from 20 to 24 May 2019.
The seminars will deliver vital information to an industry that must prepare now for the arrival of systems and equipment designed for both new technologies and a new generation of refrigerants that comply with a global phasedown of high global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) under the Montreal Protocol.
Among the expert speakers will be people from major international and Australasian industry associations:
- Stephen R Yurek (US), President and CEO of the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI)
- Andrea Voigt (Europe), Director General of the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE), and
- Greg Picker (Australia) executive director of AREMA and Refrigerants Australia.
These are not the only changes identified on the horizon. Along with demographic and societal changes, it is expected there will also be a shift towards the use of AI (artificial intelligence) and IoT, as well as further uptake of wireless technologies.
The industry is already seeing the first changes in equipment to take advantage of these opportunities.
In addition to informing attendees about the latest industry trends, Future:Air seminars will reveal the current and expected regulatory changes that will impact the design, purchase and use of chillers and large air-conditioning equipment.
Tickets to Future:Air seminars are subsidised by contributions from industry associations and corporate sponsorship, priced at $99 per delegate and available from Future:Air.
