Sine, Honeywell’s visitor and contractor platform, has introduced Advanced ID Check for SinePoint Pro iPad kiosks.
The new feature embeds identity verification directly into the enterprise check-in process.
Rather than relying on manual document checks or separate verification workflows, Advanced ID Check validates identity and creates compliance records in real time.
Upon check-in at the SinePoint Pro iPad kiosk, visitors scan a government-issued ID such as a passport, driver’s licence or national ID card.
Sine checks document authenticity indicators and validates security features, text consistency and image quality as well as assesses expiry status and matches the document photo to the visitor’s captured image.
Verification results are automatically attached to each visitor pass and activity feed. It allows visitors to move through the check-in kiosks faster.
For organisations deploying this solution, Sine says that it offers a standardised verification with the platform taking away the onus on staff members to catch an expired document or spot an inconsistency during the check-in phase.
It also provides an audit trail. Every ID check creates a timestamped compliance record from the moment the visitor checks in. When an audit or incident review demands evidence of who was on-site and how they were cleared, that record is readily available.
The platform can be customised to the requirements of organisations and specific sites. For example, it allows companies to set verification requirements by visitor type, applying stricter controls to contractors or high-risk categories.
Advanced ID Check flags discrepancies or sends check-ins for manual approval based on the site’s risk profile, giving security and admin teams more control over who accesses the site.
As for the issue of privacy controls, Sine says that the data model stores only essential fields, with no document images, document numbers or date of birth retained.
Sine adds that its latest technology is powered by Regula Forensics, an identity verification platform used by organisations across 250 countries and territories, including border control authorities in certain countries.
